LIST OF RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR "PROMOTION OF STUDENTS WELFARE AND POTENTIAL" INCLUDED UNDER ALLOTTED BUDGET IN UNIVERSITY

Introduction

Some extraordinary talents develop society creating legendary results. Though such exceptional talents are few in number but they improve society in a greater way. Many a times its seen that due to lack of financial facility some talents do not bloom to their fullest. Considering such circumstances and social liabilities Rabindrabharati University has undertaken a work schedule to search for exceptional talents among students and their nourishment. Such exceptional talents will create an instance for the society.

Election Procedure

Every year 3oth November before the starting of financial year, development officers would be requesting departmental heads by notice to search for maximum three exceptional talents amongst students of 1st and 2nd year Graduation and Post Graduation level – Ist year and send their names. This memorandum should be sent to the development department upto 15th December. Thereafter vice chancellor not connected with the university, such one or more specialists would appoint from among selected candidates one person for final decision. If no one among selected candidates is found to be eligible for judging, then the judge will announce no one to be fit.

Amount of Financial Help –

Every year an amount of 1 lakh 10 thousand will be allotted for this purpose in the University budget. Out of this 20,000 would be allotted for administrative expenses and the rest 20,000 would be allotted for grant. Generally every year, three students will be elected and an amount of maximum 30,000 rupees would be granted to them as financial help. If number of elected students is more or less than three, then the maximum limit of expense would be decided after dividing the ninety thousand rupees among the elected candidates. But each student would not get more than fifty thousand. This financial help would not be in the form of cash. The judges apart from electing the students would also announce the kind of help required for flourishing their talent and would arrange for the required items within the prescribed limit.

In this regard, a subcommittee comprising of the vice chancellor, registrar, finance officer, and development officer would decide. The development officer would act as the conveyor of the subcommittee for the approval of the work committee.

Honorary money for judges and other administrative expenses

One time honorary grant for each judge is a thousand rupees and local transport conveyance.

Arrangement of the granted amount

Any elected student would receive the financial help maximum upto two years during his studentship. In this regard the finance department would transfer the allotted amount for the student in his respective account and would carry out his expenses from that. The elected students will not receive any financial help or grant from the university.
